Da hat man die Zutaten schon seit Jahren im Haus, und kommt jetzt erst auf die Idee, wie man das Schlüsselloch der Clejuso 15 Handschelle sichern kann. Gerade weil diese Handschelle so dick ist, schließt das Steckschloß praktisch bündig mit dem Schellenkörper ab.
Funny, isn't it, having all the ingredients inhouse for several years already, but only now having the idea how to get extra security for Clejuso 15 handcuffs. With these thick handcuffs the plug lock is pretty much flush after inserting it into the keyhole.
Wenn jener Typ von Steckschloß überhaupt nicht ins Schlüsselloch paßt, muß man eventuell den Bartfortsatz am Zylinder etwas flacher abfeilen. Wenn das Schloß jedoch wenige Millimeter hineinpaßt, ist wahrscheinlich ein Gußgrat im Weg, den man mit einer Quadratfeile seht einfach und schnell entfernen kann.
If this type of lock does not fit at all into the keyhole one may have to flatten the key-bit continuation on the lock cylinder a little bit. However, if one can insert the lock for a few millimetres then probably some residual material from the casting process is still there and this then can easily be removed with a square file.
Die wesentliche Änderung ist aber das Abfeilen des Schlüsselbartes. Hier sollte man markieren, wie weit sich der Originalschlüssel ins Schlüsselloch hineinschieben läßt (deswegen die schwarze Markierung am Clejuso-Schlüssel) und dieses dann als Maß nehmen, wieweit der Bart am Steckschloß abgefeilt werden muß. Dafür habe ich eine D-förmige Feile genommen.
But the main change is filing off the key-bit itself. One should mark on the original Clejuso key how far one can insert it into the keyhole (thus the black marking on the original Clejuso key) and then take this measure to determine how much of the key-bit needs to be files off. For this I did use a D-shaped file.
Nach gelungener Änderung muß sich der Schlüssel ohne Kraftaufwand drehen lassen.
After successfull DIY action one has to be able to turn the key without applying excessive force.
Nach weiterem Probieren hat sich gezeigt, daß man das Steckschloß
gar nicht so sehr abfeilen braucht, weil es nach ein wenig Rumprobieren
noch etwas tiefer im Schlüsselloch versenkt werden kann.

After some further tries it turns out that one does not need to file that much off the lock, because after a little bit of trying one can push it even deeper into the keyhole. The top row shows the unmodified Burg ME plug lock.
