Handschellen - Handcuffs

Handschellen ohne eingebaute Verriegelung aber mit Löchern, um sie mit Vorhängeschlössern sichern zu können. Diese Handschellen sollen kurz nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg in Südwestdeutschland im Einsatz gewesen sein. Von der Bauform her ähneln sie aber älteren Rivolier-Handschellen, was mich auf ein Mitbringsel der französischen Besatzungsmacht spekulieren läßt. Die Löcher könnten auch lokal angebracht worden sein. Eine Handschelle mit doppeltem Bart am Schüssel sowie eine andere Handschelle mit ungewöhnlichem Schlüssel. Eine alte Handfessel hat zusätzlich zum Verschluß auch noch ein Loch für ein Vorhängeschloß.

Handcuffs without built-in double lock but holes to secure them with padlocks. These handcuffs are said of having been used in south-west Germany shortly after WWII. In shape they resemble older Rivolier handcuffs, what makes me speculate that french occupation forces might have brought these cuffs with them. Possibly the securing holes could have been drilled locally. Pair of handcuffs with kind of a split key and another pair of handcuffs using a peculiar key. An old wrist restraint also features a hole to put a padlock through in addition to the locking mechanism.
