In den Anfängen der DDR wurde diese Knickhandschelle produziert.
Sie ist so bequem, wie eine Knickhandschelle eben sein kann,
hat aber im Vergleich zum
Nachfolgemodell
den Nachteil, daß sie immer erst aufgeschlossen
werden muß, bevor man sie anlegen kann, da die Bügel
nicht durchschwingen.
Vielleicht auch von Interesse sind eine von der Auflagenfläche ebenfalls bequem aussehende Stangenschelle und eine normale heutige Knickhandschelle. |

This hinged handcuff was produced in the early years of the GDR.
It is as comfortable as such a hinged handcuff can be, but in contrast to a
later model
has the decisive drawback that it has always to be unlocked and opened
before applying it to wrists as the bow does not swing through.
You may also be interested in looking at cuffs with a ridig bar which also look somewhat comfortable and an ordinary hinged handcuff still available today. |
