Dieses Fahrradschloß hat im Unterschied zu richtigen Handschellen keine einschnappende Rastungen, man kann den Bügel also beliebig öffnen und schließen. Erst mit dem Druck auf den Knopf im Schloß wird es komplett gesperrt. Als Fußfessel eingesetzt wäre es ziemlich restriktiv. Ziemlich das Gegenteil: Billigschellen als Handschellen verscherbelt, aber nicht wirklich tauglich. Die zum Größenvergleich gezeigte kleine Handschelle allein und als solche gefertigte Fußfesseln.

This bicyle lock in contrast to true handcuffs does not have a single lock, one can open and close the bow at will. It is only when one presses the button on the lock that the lock really engages and locks. Used as fetters it would be rather restrictive. Somehow the contrary: cheapo cuffs - sold as handcuffs but better not used as such. The small handcuffs only shown for size comparison and legirons truly designed as such.
