Der Verschluß mag anders aussehen wie bei einer normalen Handschelle,
aber es ist dieselbe Wirkungsweise einer Schelle, die man um
Handgelenke, Fußgelenke, Hals oder Taille legen kann.

At first sight this stainless steel structure in an orange-like shape does not
reveal its funtionality. A cage by name, it does take a practical demonstration
to clarify its working principle. In particular this restraint has no metal part
in between the wrists.

Roll and seat prevent you from assuming a straight position
and thus prevent you from getting off the ride.
Das ist der charakteristische Fesseltyp, bei dem ich mich frage,
wo er in ähnlicher Form sonst auch noch auftaucht.

This is a characteristic example of that kind of restraints
where I would dearly like to know what restraints similar
to these do exist. This device works in putting an oval ring
onto the elbow and then putting a bar through openings of
the ring to prevent the elbow of being pulled out.
Ein vergleichbare Technik kann man auch an den Knien applizieren.
Rope can be used on the knees to a similar effect.
Diese Schulterfessel ist vermutlich aus festem Leder gefertigt gewesen,
wobei sie wohl am besten mit Metall funktioniert hätte. Die Schultergurte
verhindern, daß man sie nach unten schieben kann. Interessanter ist aber,
daß man vermeidet, sie nach oben zu schieben, indem man die Arme
in Schlaufen am Körper fixiert. Die Arme kann man wiederum nicht
aus den Schlaufen ziehen, weil man die Brustschlaufe nicht verschieben kann.
This shoulder restraint probably was made out of tough leather,
although for best performance it should have been made from metal.
The shoulder straps prevent the breast loop from being pushed down.
More interesting is to see how one prevents this breat loop in
being pushed up. So one uses extra loops to keep the arms close
to the body in a downwards position. The arms in turn cannot be
pulled out of the loops because the breast loop is kept in place.
