Handschellen und Fußschellen aus Taiwan. Keine Markenartikel, aber brauchbare Qualität mit voll funktionsfähiger Verriegelung, sauber gearbeitet. Sie werden meist zu einem angemessenen Preis angeboten.
No-name handcuffs and leg irons made in Taiwan. Quality is definitively ok, double lock is functional and they craftsmanship is well acceptable. One usually can find them at a reasonable price.

Dies beiden Modelle kommen nun aus Festlandschina[1]. Das linke Modell hat ein verstecktes Schlüsselloch und einen ein wenig kleineren Durchmesser als 50mm, was heutzutage eher schwer zu finden ist. Das dicke Ende vom Zylinder kann ein wenig in die Haut drücken. Interessant ist die Verwendung eines Zahnrades, was es etwas schwerer macht, die Schelle ohne Schlüssel aufzutricksen.
Die rechte Schelle findet sich oft als Billigangebot. Sie funktioniert zwar, ist aber aus dünnem Blech, hat zu großes Spiel, die Verriegelung rastet nicht ein und kann ohne Schlüssel geöffnet werden - und manche Exemplare bereiten Schwierigkeiten, sogar mit Schlüssel zuverlässig geöffnet werden zu können. Auf einer extra Seite wird noch detaillierter auf dieses in manchen Aspekten doch interessante Modell eingegangen, dennoch ist es so unsicher, daß vom Gebrauch abzuraten ist.
These two models now are from Mainland China[1]. The left speciment has his keyhole
hidden away, its diameter is somewhat less than 50mm, something which is hard to
find nowadays. The thick part with the cylinder may press somewhat into the skin.
Interesting to note is a cog wheel, this makes it more difficult to shim the cuff.
The right pair of cuffs is a cheapo. Well, it does lock indeed, but that's about it.
It is made from thin metal sheet, has too much slack to work properly, the double lock
does not click into position and can be released without the use of a key - and some
specimen may bring you into trouble and cause you to fiddle around quite a bit
when you want to open with the key. I'm looking at further details of this in some
aspect still interesting cuff on an extra page, but
it is unsafe enough to recommend not to use it.

Vom Festland kommt auch eine Fußschelle, welche recht schwer ist, schwarz lackiert und nicht in der Größe verstellbar. Das Zylinderschloß kann mit einer aufschraubbaren Staubschutzscheibe abgedeckt werden.
Also from the mainland there are fetters that are quite heavy.
The finish is black paint and these fetters are not adjustable
in size.
The cylinder lock can be covered with a screw-on dust cover plate.
