Dieser Halsreif verwendet der Verschlußmechanismus einer Darby-Schelle.
Die Schelle ist etwas angerostet, dennoch bin ich mir nicht gänzlich
sicher, ob es sich hier gegebenenfalls um einen Nachbau handeln könnte.
Andererseits finde ich auch bei
offenem Reif
keine offensichtlichen Spuren heutiger Bearbeitungstechniken.

This neck ring is using the locking mechanism of a Darby cuff.
The ring is somewhat rusty, but I cannot exclude that this item
might be produced in more recent times. On the other hand I did
not find - even looking at the
opened neck ring
- any obvious traces of today's manufacturing techniques.
